Tarot Readings: a new perspective
Welcome to my first official Cup of Tarot blog. This site was created to help people rethink, re-look, and re-imagine a familiar tool; the Tarot. I started reading the Tarot for the same reasons most of us do, to get a preview of upcoming events, insight into challenges I may face, and as a way to reflect personally on areas of my life. I was excited to find that the Tarot surpassed my expectations in these areas and more.
Much more.
Looking back at it now, I remember the time when, like most of us, I believed that the Tarot was primarily a way to do a predictive reading. That is how I knew to think of the Tarot. It was a way to get inside information; maybe into upcoming events, maybe into myself as a method of reflection and gaining insight.
My perspective has shifted. The Tarot is a tool, an empowerment generator, a manifesting amplifier, and an evolving system of personal evolution. As I continued to develop as a Tarot reader, I noticed that the spreads were pointing to an underlying energy system and interconnectedness. The archetypes were reflections of that movement inside of me, a schematic of sorts showing where things were flowing and where they were not. Learning to understand this flow and how it connects to those around you accelerates the manifestation of meaning, purpose, and favorable situations in your life.
Doing a reading is not the end. It is only half the battle, but an important half. This site will help you hone in on your reading, the information shared will assist you in accelerating your ability to do a consistently accurate reading. It will also talk about the underlying reasons you can accomplish this astounding feat, and focus on the numerous energy and perceptive skills you have to develop to do so. In other words, think of doing an accurate reading as an important first step, evidence that you have tuned up your instrument and have become proficient at using it.
The other half of the battle is applying that skill to your daily life. It is easy to be satisfied with doing a good reading, and leaving it at that. But what do you do with the information once you get it? My goal for Cup of Tarot is to get you excited about a fuller application of the Tarot, and how that applies to your life in a variety of ways. It is to get you excited about seeing the Tarot as more than a way to gain insight into a particular situation.
Cup of Tarot is an invitation of sorts, an invitation to come with me on a journey that I have enjoyed and is just too good not to share with you. Take a look around, leave a comment, and come back soon!
